    The article describes a geographical differentiation of availability and the degree of Internet literacy in Poland. The article shows correlations between the degree of urbanization and the type of households. It also determines the position of Poland in comparison to the rest of European countries as well as the world, given the technological development of the country related to access and use of information technology with distinction for the broadband connection access, basing on data provided by GUS and EUROSTAT. The internet is considered as a common good.
